Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or using the services of Rockaway Roofing Pros, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Services Description

Rockaway Roofing Pros provides residential and commercial roofing services including but not limited to roof inspections (drone and thermal imaging), roof repair, roof replacement, metal roofing, flat roofing, gutter installation, skylight installation, ventilation improvements, and emergency storm damage repair throughout the Metro Rockaway area.

Estimates and Pricing

  • All estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated.
  • Estimates are based on satellite and drone-measured roof dimensions and visible conditions at the time of inspection.
  • Final pricing may vary if concealed damage (e.g., rotted decking, hidden moisture) is discovered during the project. Any additional costs will be communicated and approved by the homeowner before work proceeds.
  • Sales tax will be applied in accordance with New Jersey state and local tax regulations.

Project Agreements

All roofing projects require a signed contract before work begins. The contract will specify scope of work, materials to be used, project timeline, payment terms, warranty details, and any applicable conditions. No verbal agreements supersede the written contract.

Payment Terms

  • A deposit of up to 50% may be required upon contract signing to secure scheduling and order materials.
  • The remaining balance is due upon project completion and final walkthrough.
  • We accept checks, credit cards, ACH transfers, and approved financing plans.
  • For insurance claim projects, payment terms may be adjusted to align with the insurance disbursement schedule.
  • Late payments may incur a finance charge of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.

Warranties

  • Workmanship Warranty: Rockaway Roofing Pros provides a 10-year workmanship warranty on all installations, covering defects in labor and installation.
  • Manufacturer Warranties: Material warranties are provided directly by the manufacturer (GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, etc.) and vary by product. Warranty registration is completed by Rockaway Roofing Pros upon project completion.
  • Warranty Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage caused by acts of God, owner neglect, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear.
  • Warranty Claims: To file a warranty claim, contact us at (973) 636-4812. We will conduct a complimentary inspection (including drone and thermal assessment) to evaluate the issue.

Drone and Thermal Imaging Services

Our drone inspections are conducted by FAA Part 107 certified operators in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. By requesting a drone inspection, you authorize Rockaway Roofing Pros to operate unmanned aircraft over your property for the purpose of roofing assessment. Aerial imagery and thermal data are the property of Rockaway Roofing Pros and may be used for project documentation, insurance claims (with your authorization), and internal quality assurance.

Insurance Claim Assistance

Rockaway Roofing Pros provides documentation and support for insurance claims but does not guarantee claim approval. We are not a public adjuster or insurance representative. We provide professional inspection reports, drone documentation, and technical assessments that support your claim. The final claim decision rests with your insurance company.

Scheduling and Delays

Project timelines are estimates based on normal conditions. Rockaway Roofing Pros is not liable for delays caused by weather, material supply chain disruptions, permit processing, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will communicate any significant schedule changes promptly through your project dashboard.

Property Access

By contracting with Rockaway Roofing Pros, you grant our crews and equipment access to your property as necessary to complete the agreed-upon scope of work. This includes rooftop access, yard access for materials and equipment staging, and driveway access for delivery vehicles.

Limitation of Liability

Rockaway Roofing Pros's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including but not limited to loss of use, lost profits, or damage to interior contents (except where caused by our gross negligence).

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through direct negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in Fulton County, New Jersey, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. New Jersey state law governs these Terms.
